MEET THE TEAM

Mike is a native Oklahoman, born in Tulsa. He Joined the U.S. Marine Corps right after graduation from High School in 1971. While in the military, he was assigned to the Fleet Marine Force where he served as a rotary wing (helicopter) Flight Engineer and Aerial observer and was assigned to a Marine Attack Helicopter Squadron. Upon his return back stateside, Mike was selected for the “Platoon Leaders Class” and attended the University of Oklahoma where he studied Engineering and worked towards his goal to receive his commission as a Marine Corps officer. During Mike’s sophomore Year at O.U., he elected to separate from the Marine Corp and entered into Law Enforcement with the City of Midwest City Police Department where he served as a Police Officer. During his time as a Police Officer, he participated in the rescue and recovery efforts at the Murrah Building Bombing, the Star Elementary School fatal explosion, May 3rd ,1999 F-5 Tornado. Mike was instrumental in successfully implementing the Community Based Policing Program into his community. While serving as a police officer, He earned his Degree in Criminal Justice & Police Science. Mike retired from the Police Department after nearly 30 years of service and is bringing with him all of his investigative experience, techniques and training to MUFON as a Field Investigator.
